Savidge Construction has been building service stations in Northern California since 1997. We are family run, we specialize in gas stations and car washes, and most of our jobs come from people we have already built for.

How We Work
Savidge Construction is family run, and the person who owns the company is the person running your project.
Scot Alves has been doing this work for decades, so when there is a decision to make on your site you are not waiting for it to travel up and back down a management chain. You call, and you get an answer. We take on a manageable number of projects at a time and give each one proper attention, which is why most of our work still arrives by word of mouth from people we have already built for.
That only works because the crews are steady. Several of our site supervisors have been with the company more than thirteen years. In a trade where the usual complaint is that you never see the same faces twice, that continuity is most of why our schedules hold.

Licensing and Credentials
We hold California Contractors License #755898, covering:
- Class A (General Engineering). Grading, underground utilities, drainage and site work.
- Class B (General Building). The store, the canopy and the structures.
- Hazardous Materials certification. Fuel systems and underground storage tanks.
We are licensed and insured, and we work in compliance with state and federal requirements for hazardous materials handling. You can verify any California contractor’s license status yourself through the Contractors State License Board, and before you sign a contract with anyone, us included, you should.
Who You Will Deal With
Scot Alves owns and runs the company. He bought Savidge Construction in 2022 from John Savidge, who founded it in 1997 and spent twenty-five years earning the name a reputation across Northern California. Scot took it on to carry that forward rather than start something new, and the crews, the standards and most of the customers came with it.
Scot is on the jobs rather than behind a desk. When there is a decision to make on your site, you are not waiting for it to travel up and back down a management chain.
Site work is led by supervisors who have each been here more than 13 years and who specialize in service stations. They know every stage of a smooth operation from first dig to final sign-off, and they are a large part of why the schedules hold.
The office has the same continuity. Our bookkeeper brings over 35 years of construction experience and has been with Savidge since 1998, working alongside a second bookkeeper who joined in 2022.
It is a small enough operation that everyone knows what is happening on every job, and that is intentional.
The Kind of Work We Want
Petroleum, mostly. Ground-up stations, fuel system installations and upgrades, tank removals, car washes and the site work underneath all of it.
Projects run from a single tank swap up to a complete ground-up station. We are not chasing every job in Northern California. We would rather do a manageable number properly and keep the people who have worked for us for a decade busy year-round.
If your project is not work we take on, we will tell you up front. And if we know a contractor who does that kind of work well, we will put you in touch with them.
